Musical Carrie Moore

Musical Carrie Moore

One of the most touristy things to do is the Bollard Trail. Jan Mitchell is the artist bringing fun and life to these old timbers and piles rescued from a demolished city pier (1980s).

I just like the sculpture of Carrie Moore against the dark pine tree, the tricolour boat and the sea.
She was a musical comedy star born in Geelong in 1882 was best known for her role as the Merry Widow.

An on location pencil and watercolour on high quality paint and paper ~ 26 x 19 cm (H X W).
